NuoDB, an elastic SQL database company for hybrid cloud applications, announced a new graphical dashboard called NuoDB Insights, to provide enterprises in-depth visibility into their distributed database environments.
NuoDB Insights presents a graphical view of logs, metrics, and other diagnostic information, which can help customers to understand, optimize and troubleshoot their NuoDB database, its resources and processes.
The NuoDB database system can run on containers, virtual machines, and across on-premises, public and hybrid cloud environments. However, NuoDB’s adaptability with multiple environments makes it challenging for users to track resource usage and database system performance, with growing database across multiple distributed environments. Hence, the company is aiming to address this complexity using new graphical dashboard.
It provisions a ‘user-friendly’ design, enabling better views into database lifecycle events, and greater understanding of system resources and networking usage.
Customers will be able to inspect logs and the domain state for quick insights into database health. NuoDB Insights enables them to analyze response times and load averages for enhanced monitoring of database performance.
The NuoDB Insights is disabled by default, and the user will need to enable it to capture and display any data. Once enabled, a user can access NuoDB Insights through a dedicated and secure website.
“We continue to enhance our elastic SQL database to support our customers as they move to cloud and microservices-based architectures,” said Dirk Hamstra, SVP of Customer Success, NuoDB. “In particular, in this latest release, NuoDB Insights provides valuable database monitoring capabilities, across a distributed database domain, to empower our customers with critical system metrics. As a result, customers can optimize their environment to ensure they’re using available resources effectively.”
Along with the NuoDB Insights, the new NuoDB version 3.1 includes advanced data protection features, modernized and easy to use database administration, and expanded SQL capabilities. The new features will help database administrators to protect data with incremental backup and restore options, and easier database management and API integration for container environments.
