Cybersecurity and digital transformation managed services provider (MSP), Thrive recently announced the acquisition of Custard Technical Services which is based in Nottingham. Custard offers managed services in the East Midlands and surrounding areas. With this acquisition, Custard’s clients will benefit from Thrive’s next-generation managed cybersecurity, cloud services, and automation platform.
Custard Technical Services has a skilled technical team of specially trained experts to deliver IT goals for organizations of different scopes and sectors. Custard’s offering comprises a comprehensive range of IT solutions including managed services, disaster recovery planning, consultation, IT security backup solutions, and ongoing software and hardware support and maintenance. Custard has been helping clients become more dynamic and secure through its innovative flexible IT solutions.

Thrive’s acquisitions in 2022
Custard Technical Services is now the fifth company that Thrive has bought in 2022. This is the second time that they have bought a company outside of the United States since 2021. This makes Thrive stronger as a company and gives them a better position globally as they provide technology services to help small to mid-sized companies make the switch to digital transformations.
Thrive began the year 2022 by acquiring nationally recognized MSP InCare Technologies known for its work with healthcare, local governments, education, and other small and medium businesses. The acquisition of this company gave Thrive a strong regional presence in the South.
In February 2022, Thrive entered the Florida market with the acquisition of Preemo, a responsive, award-winning technology service based in Miami, FL. The acquisition equipped South Florida businesses with comprehensive cybersecurity, cloud, and digital transformation solutions. Following this, Thrive bought managed technology solutions provider SouthTech in Florida West Coast.
In June 2022, Thrive acquired Connecticut-based Edge Technology Group which is a global technology advisory and fully-managed IT service provider for alternative investment managers. This acquisition added new global offices and data centers across the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, which strengthened Thrive’s international presence. In the same month, Thrive also bought DSM, a Florida-based managed IT services provider to State, Local, and Education (SLED) government agencies.
