Exactly four days after Jelastic version 1.9.1’s full commercial availability in Netherlands in partnership with Info.nl, Jelastic platform today integrated with NetBeans IDE, an IDE for Java development.
A few days earlier, Jelastic became the first public PaaS to offer Apache TomEE and launched Jelastic V 1.9.
A set of software development tools, the new Jelastic plug-in for the NetBeans IDE simplifies the process of application management and development in the NetBeans IDE in the form of projects in the Jelastic platform.
Users thus can access their development, test and production deployments, get log files, and perform other operations without having to leave the Java IDE of their choice.
The developers can now log in to Jelastic and deploy an app in the cloud directly from the NetBeans IDE, thereby making the development of Java Platform, Enterprise Edition web applications on the Jelastic platform very simple.
With Jelastic plug-in for the NetBeans IDE, a developer can now deploy NetBeans IDE projects to Jelastic, access and manage server log files, manage user environments, work with the application contexts etc. without having to switch between the IDE and the browser.
“We are thrilled to announce the integration of the NetBeans IDE into the Jelastic platform. NetBeans IDE is rightly one of the most popular IDEs in the world and Oracle’s IDE for the Java platform,” said Mr. Dmitry Sotnikov, COO, Jelastic.
“NetBeans IDE optimizes Java and PHP development, and has so many great features such as Java EE support, high quality code editors, version control tools and an intuitive UI. Now, NetBeans IDE users have the ability to work with their Jelastic hosting, without having to ever leave their favorite development environment,” he added.
