German hosting and cloud provider, Hetzner, launched its second location in the USA for cloud products in Hillsboro, Oregon. Companies, educational institutions, organizations, and developers in the region can now enjoy the benefits of low latency, and faster cloud performance.
Hillsboro, Oregon is an important part of the “Silicon Forest” region in the US Pacific Northwest. This region is known for its technical innovation, and many big names in the IT industry.
“The strategic location of Hillsboro is very exciting for us. We already have a location on the East Coast with Ashburn, and now, with Hillsboro, we can provide a better connection to our cloud customers on the West Coast. Plus, Hillsboro’s proximity to important submarine cables between North America and Asia,” said Sebastian Willer, Project Manager at Hetzner.
The network connection is currently 400 Gbit/s to ensure fast data exchange and will be gradually improved in the future.
Hetzner launched its first location outside of Europe in Ashburn, Virginia one year ago. Clients now choose from five locations in Europe and North America, allowing them to make their cloud data geo-redundant, and make their IT infrastructure more robust.
At the new Hillsboro location, Hetzner Cloud servers with AMD processors will be available. Customers will have access to all of the Hetzner Cloud features at affordable prices. They can configure and deploy new cloud instances with just a few clicks. Users can configure and deploy new cloud instances, access features around the clock, mount or remove other resources such as block storage and snapshots, and scale their cloud resources up or down to meet their needs.
