Extreme Networks Announces Partnership With Lenovo and EMC

Data center solution provider Extreme Networks today announced a strategic global reseller partnership with Lenovo. The partnership enhances Lenovo’s focus on enterprise-grade manageability, open standards and business critical reliability with networking solutions from Extreme Networks.

The Extreme Network Summit switch family complements the Lenovo ThinkServer product line for Enterprise and Data Center Cloud-Ready solutions.

Lenovo and its network of channel partners will now resell a converged infrastructure solution for compute, networking and storage featuring Extreme Networks’ Open Fabric Ethernet switches to customers in more than 60 countries, with an emphasis on the Summit X440, X460 and X670 platforms.

Extreme Networks’ Open Fabric Ethernet switches address the challenges of cloud computing with scale, reliability and support of the OpenStack cloud initiative.

Lenovo will provide its campus, data center and cloud customers with open, high performance, and reliable converged infrastructure addressing data center and cloud initiatives.

Earlier today, Extreme Networks also announced that its Open Fabric data center and cloud network architecture has been validated as part of an EMC VSPEX solution.
