1 Mins read

Cloud Infrastructure as a service provider Bit Refinery today launched it’s Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service. Aimed at providing businesses with real-time cloud disaster recovery services to help them protect production applications to the cloud, and/or in-cloud at minimal costs, the new solution is powered by the Zerto Virtual Replication, Zerto’s hypervisor-based solution.

Very recently, Bluelock also launched Recovery-as-a-Service solutions powered by the Zerto Virtual Replication.

This new offering makes cloud-based DR more viable to numerous organizations because it is now simpler and more affordable than ever before.

Since the Zerto technology mentioned above is software only and hardware-agnostic, companies can use Bit Refinery’s DR-as-a-Service to replicate from any type of storage to any type of storage.

Bit Refinery currently offers four options for cloud data replication:

  • Zerto™ Real-Time Replication
  • VMware™ SRM Replication (Site Recovery Manager)
  • Veeam™ Replication
  • Cloud Storage

In addition to replicating the data, the new DR service will also protects from logical errors and ensure applications recovery by frequently testing failovers.

Companies can either choose Bit Refinery’s DR-as-a-Service (DRaaS), protecting their on-premise applications to the cloud, or/and in-cloud DR, protecting applications deployed in the cloud and replicated to a secondary Bit Refinery cloud data center.

Bit Refinery uses of VMware vCloud Director which allows visibility into protected vApps/Virtual Machines (VMs) and recovered VMs through a single pane of glass.

“This new offering makes cloud-based DR more viable to numerous organizations because it is now simpler and more affordable than ever before,” said Mr. Brandon Hieb, Managing partner, Bit Refinery.

“Zerto’s hypervisor based solution is very cost-effective and enables us to deliver all the benefits of cloud automation while ensuring mission-critical applications stay protected and available. We have had significant interest, with several customers already signing on for the service,” he added.
