In a significant development for the APAC data center landscape, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has commenced construction on two advanced facilities in Navi Mumbai, India. The groundbreaking ceremony for STT Navi Mumbai 2 and STT Navi Mumbai 3 drew the participation of key partners and industry leaders, highlighting a collective commitment to growth and innovation in India’s digital infrastructure.

These state-of-the-art data centers aim to support an AI-driven future, aligning with India’s growing demand for robust digital services. Designed to be scalable and purpose-built, STT Navi Mumbai 2 and STT Navi Mumbai 3 will feature high-density cooling solutions and resilient power systems, meeting the needs of modern businesses reliant on data-intensive applications. The facilities are projected to be operational by July 2025, setting a foundation for AI-ready infrastructure across India.

STT Navi Mumbai 1, located on the same 11.5-acre campus as the newly announced buildings, is also under development, further enhancing the region’s data center capabilities. Together, these centers are part of STT GDC India’s expanding footprint, which includes 28 data centers across 10 cities. With a total raised floor area surpassing 5.9 million square feet and an IT load capacity exceeding 318 MW, the company is already one of India’s largest providers of data center space and connectivity options.

Since its inception in 2004, STT GDC India has served over 1,000 clients, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, with a focus on security, scalability, and sustainable design. The addition of STT Navi Mumbai 2 and 3 highlights STT GDC’s commitment to fueling India’s digital economy by meeting rising demands for secure, AI-compatible infrastructure.
