Global data center and infrastructure solutions provider, Service Express, announced the acquisition of third-party data center maintenance (TPM) provider Sherlock Services, based in Ohio. The acquisition will complement the current third-party maintenance offerings of Service Express and bring the expanded data center solutions to existing Sherlock Services customers.

“Our primary goal throughout the acquisition is to ensure our people have the resources they need to develop skills and explore potential career opportunities,” said Greg Brumbaugh, Co-Owner & VP, Operations of Sherlock Services. “We anticipate a seamless transition and look forward to what’s next with Service Express.”

Services offered by Sherlock Services include multivendor data center maintenance and hardware solutions for server, storage, and network systems. It brings to Service Express a talented team of US-based Level 2 and Level 3 Engineers, along with an industry experience of 30 years. The acquisition of Sherlock Services will strengthen the technical team of Service Express by bringing additional OEM expertise.

“We’ve offered similar solutions and worked alongside Service Express for many years and have been impressed with the level of service the company provides,” said Ron Pollard, Co-Owner and President of Sherlock Services. “We look forward to offering our customers a widened portfolio of services and end-to-end data center support.”

Data center solutions by Service Express will offer Sherlock Services customers new options like Hybrid Cloud and Managed Infrastructure solutions, for their day-to-day needs apart from third-party support. Service Express will continue the expansion of its offerings to provide customers with a single source for their end-to-end data center and infrastructure needs.

“Sherlock Services has a great reputation, and they serve their customers and employees well – making them a great fit for Service Express,” said Ron Alvesteffer, President and CEO of Service Express. “We’re thrilled to welcome Sherlock Services’ skilled team to Service Express and offer the company’s existing customers more depth and expertise for their data center!”

Before acquiring Sherlock Services, Service Express announced the acquisition of managed services provider – iTech Solutions Group and cloud hosting provider – iInTheCloud in July 2022. With these acquisitions, it aimed to bring expanded IBM-specific offerings and IBM Gold Business Partner status to its customers in the U.S.

Regarding the deal, Ron Alvesteffer said, “The acquisition of iTech and iInTheCloud accelerate the expansion of our managed and infrastructure service offerings to the U.S. We anticipate strong company growth as we continue to broaden and diversify our solutions, bringing a wider portfolio of services to customers in the U.S. and U.K.”
