ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines has successfully concluded the construction of a state-of-the-art 1.2MW data center located in Makati City. This cutting-edge facility, situated on the outskirts of Manila, comprises a capacity for approximately 100 racks and is capable of accommodating loads ranging from 5kW to 12kW. Operations are slated to kick off in November 2023.

As a carrier-neutral hub, STT Makati provides a multitude of connectivity options, affording clients unparalleled flexibility and tailored connectivity solutions. This presents a unique opportunity for businesses to benefit from collocation space within a next-generation, hyperscaler-grade data center at a significantly reduced cost.

Adhering to Tier III standards, the data center employs an environment-friendly ventilation and air conditioning system, in addition to utilizing energy-efficient equipment, a rainwater catchment system, and solar panels for electricity generation. Security is a paramount focus, with multiple layers of protection ensuring the facility’s integrity. Its standalone nature further sets it apart from shared-space facilities.

Looking ahead, STT GDC Philippines is in the process of establishing a data center campus in Fairview, Quezon City, scheduled to be operational in early 2025. Anticipated to have a capacity of 124MW, the Fairview facility is poised to emerge as the largest, most interconnected, sustainable, and carrier-neutral data center campus in the country.

In June 2023, the company had unveiled plans to expand three of its data centers—Makati, Cavite, and Quezon City—by a combined total of 5.2MW, as a commitment to meet the escalating demands of the digital landscape.

STT GDC Philippines is a collaborative endeavor between Globe, the Ayala Corporation, and Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centers, uniting formidable forces in the pursuit of cutting-edge data center solutions.

Meanwhile, STT Global Data Centers India division has recently disclosed an ambitious investment plan of approximately Rs. 2,000 crore for the development of two cutting-edge data centers. The Pune campus of STT GDC India already holds a prominent position in the data center landscape, and this expansion is poised to further solidify its standing. With a scalable potential of 200 MVA and the ability to support up to 140 MW of IT load, the Pune campus stands as one of the largest data center campuses in the country. The new data centers are expected to augment its capabilities and play a pivotal role in meeting the growing demands of India’s digital landscape.
