Novosoft yesterday announced release of Handy Backup 7.4.1 with modifications of business editions of the software which will improve efficiency of centralized backup of business data. The update to 7.4.1 from any edition of Handy Backup 7 is free.
The news comes a few days after Novosoft LLC launched an add-on for Handy Backup that helps users back up PostgreSQL databases.

Handy Backup 7.4.1 features an enhanced control panel of Network Server edition that allows corporate users to install and set up software remotely in a convenient way.
Backup through WebDAV protocol with Handy Backup 7.4.1 is more stable, reliable and optimized for high loads and lots of data being transferred over the WebDAV connection. WebDAV module allows backing up to popular cloud storages including Dropbox, Box, Yandex.Disk, CloudMe and others.
There have been improvements in the versions of Handy Backup for HBDrive and Yandex.Disk too.
While Handy Backup 7.4.1 is Windows-oriented, the company plans to release a Linux edition of Handy Backup soon and is inviting users to take part in the private testing, where they can try all features of upcoming Linux backup software before an official release date.
The Linux edition will simplify Linux backup process will also help users get rid of the necessity of writing their own scripts and using third-party solutions to install Windows oriented software.
