DAILYHOSTNEWS, November 12, 2011 – Huawei has launched two new containerized data centers designed to high density deployments both inside and outside with reduced power consumption and fast deployment in mind.
Huawei product line CTO Li Senqi said the data centers have been designed to meet demand for fast data center space resulting from cloud deployments.
He said this market requires data center infrastructure designed for flexible and high density deployment with intelligent memory and green energy savings.
Its new IDS series includes the 1000 container which is built for outdoor use which can be constructed in two months.
Huawei said the power consumption of this model is 50% less than traditional equipment rooms, making it perfect for disaster relief and military operations.
