Dell Launches Dell Cloud Partner Programme to Deliver Public Cloud IaaS through Partner Ecosystem

1 Mins read

A few days after OnApp launched three pre-tested cloud packages in partnership with Dell, Dell today announced launch of Dell Cloud Partner Program, aimed to deliver public cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) through its ecosystem of partners.

With Dell acting as a single-source supplier, customers will now have a central point of solution integration and control, freedom from lock-in to a single platform or pricing model and a choice of vendors and technology.

The partner approach offers increased value to Dell’s customers, channel partners and shareholders, as part of our comprehensive cloud strategy to deliver market-leading, end-to-end cloud solutions.
– Nnamdi Orakwue, VP, Dell Cloud.

The new program will help Dell customers planning to expand their use of public cloud and looking for:

  • A choice of providers
  • Flexibility and interoperability across platforms and models
  • An ability to compare cloud economics and workload performance
  • A cohesive way to manage all of it.

In favor of best-in-class partner offerings, sales of Dell’s current in-house multi-tenant public cloud IaaS now stands discontinued in the U.S.

Launched this Monday, the program sees three initial partners in North America : Joyent, ScaleMatrix & ZeroLag; who’ll give customers a choice of platform and a broad range of geographical coverage.

Expansion of Dell Cloud Partner Program to new partners and beyond IaaS will be done after assessing the customer demand. Customers can purchase products from these partners through their Dell sales representative.
