Datacenter.com adds Cogent Communications to its carrier networks portfolio in Amsterdam

Datacenter.com, an international data center services provider, announced that it has added Cogent Communications, a Tier 1 ISP, to its carrier networks portfolio available in Amsterdam (ASM1).

Cogent Communications will now open a Point-of-Presence in ASM1 facility. This will enhance the ability of Datacenter.com to meet high redundancy and high-volume bandwidth requirements set by cloud providers and other demanding clients.

“Cogent has a truly global network presence with a highly redundant network design and enormous volumes of cost-efficient bandwidth available,” said Stefan Arbias, Sales Director Europe, Cogent Communications. “Deploying a PoP in Datacenter.com’s recently commissioned AMS1 facility adds to Cogent’s facilities-based global network. Expanding our footprint in Amsterdam is important to Cogent, as the Amsterdam metropolitan region is an important Internet hub for our clients. Here, Datacenter.com surely is strategically located, in the Amsterdam South-East business district, one of the most fiber-dense areas in the world.”

The AMS1 facility of Datacenter.com comprises carrier-neutral and cloud-neutral ecosystem of network providers. Adding Cogent to it will bolster its already diverse bandwidth. Datacenter.com customers will get an end-to-end customer service and network surveillance from Cogent.

Datacenter.com AMS1 facility covers 54000 square feet area and boasts true 2N critical power redundancy, scalable data center environment and high-density infrastructure. The 54U racks of the facility provide scalability and flexibility, which suits the dynamic needs of cloud providers.

Datacenter.com recently launched a channel partner program for its on-demand colocation services with month to month contracts. The channel partner program is for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), IT consultancy firms, and system integrators. It will help them to package their own offerings with Datacenter.com colocation services.
